Clammy Cuphea (Cuphea petiolata)

The Clammy Cuphea (Cuphea petiolata) is covered totally with sticky hairs. The little flowers are only 1 centimeter wide. The species has a synonymous specific name viscosissima which is Latin for very sticky.

The plant blooms in fields during the summer and fall.
