Falcate Orange Tip (Anthocharis midea)

The falcate Orange Tip, Anthocharis midea, is on the wing in Pittsylvania County during early March until June. Their whitish bodies allow them to be seen as they sail from field to field searching for winter cress and other members of the Mustard family.
