Eastern Worm Snake (Carphophis amoenus)

These pictures are of the immature worm snake. Mature specimens are plain brown above with two rows of the dorsal scales pink. Young worm snakes are mostly darker than the adults; they are about 4 inches long when they hatch, becoming adults in about 3 years.
